Director of Football Recruiting Apply now Search #: 498904 Work type: Full-time Location: Storrs Campus Categories: Athletics (Coaches, Trainers, Specialists) The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for the full-time position of Director of Football Recruiting. Responsibilities include: Manage, in collaboration with the director of on-campus recruiting, all recruiting activities and operations. Oversight, in consultation with the football general manager, of the recruiting budget for football. Provide a vision and execute the overall plan for official and unofficial visits. Provide support for practice and game preparation, including attending meetings related to coaching activities which include game analysis and review of game film. Assist, as needed, with data collection including the tracking of team performance statistics during competitions and practice sessions. Produce reports on ongoing activity within the transfer portal. Assist the General Manager with communication efforts with prospective student-athletes and their families (both high school and transfer recruits). Prepare film on prospective student-athletes and clip it to highlight abilities/skills that coaches will then use to make an evaluation. Assist the coaches with recruiting travel and logistics for all recruiting visits. Assist the reconciliation process of all expenses within the football program. Perform other program duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach and the General Manager for Football. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations; strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; and excellent organizational, communication, and public relations skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with a Division I football program; previous experience assisting the overall operations of recruitment; proficiency in Teamworks; proficiency in Microsoft Suite; and possesses coaching and student-athlete development philosophies consistent with that of the Division of Athletics and its football program.
