Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, legal writing, case management, legal compliance, document review, and legal assistance. Experience in Family Law is a significant plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality legal support to our team of lawyers and assisting in driving our firm's success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support legal proceedings.
- Draft a wide range of legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Manage and organize case files efficiently, ensuring information is kept updated and accessible.
- Ensure legal compliance by maintaining and safeguarding confidential information.
- Review and analyze legal documents to ensure accuracy.
- Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings.
- Provide legal assistance in various matters including but not limited to family law.
- Coordinate law office activities such as subpoena delivery.
- Liaise with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal or similar role in the legal industry.
- Proven experience with legal research, legal writing, case management, legal compliance, document review, and legal assistance.
- Familiarity with family law is highly desirable.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
- Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of integrity and professional accountability.
- A paralegal certification or a degree in law, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
